Abstract     The author attempts to prove that in patients with osteoporosis physiotherapy not only alleviates symptomatic complains but also stimulates bone building in a physiological and effective way. Namely bone tissue, as well as any structure in the motion apparatus, complies to the basic biological principle: functional adjustment to permanent strain. Genetic information and the process of growing are no more than raw design are not fully determined. The shaping and building of internal structures, e.g. bone spongiosis framework, is subject to regular adequate strain. Connective and support tissues are highly adaptable to strain. Long lasting pain changes throughly the relation between function and structure so that even the smallest strain may kead to intense pain and dysfunction or to tissue dystrophy. All this has to be taken into consideration when therapy for osteopororsis patients is being programmed.
