Abstract     A novel computational scheme to determine the motion of a deformable body is proposed. The pose of the body is measured by an optical system that utilises multiple markers attached to the body's surface. To determine the motion we imposed a new criterion function which is associated with the sum of the lengths of the vectors that connect the positions of markers between two images. The proposed technique can be applied in the human motion analysis.
