Abstract     The article describes the rehabilitation of knee after various injuries. Rehabilitation is divided into two clusters. The first is intended for patients with a clearly diagnosed injury or disease, and the second for patients who are preparing for arthroscopy or some other surgical procedure. The emphasis is on a complete and as short as possible rehabilitation of the injury and a complete restitution of gait. The rehabilitation programme is based on the guidelines from literature and on the experience the author has with patients attending the out patient physical therapy at the Department of Physical Therapy of the Polyclinic in Ljubljana which is part of the Orthopedic Clinic. Every year more than a hundred of patients with various diagnoses such as knee distortion, meniscus injuries, ligament rupture (lumbarand colateral), various knee cap fractures, femur or tibia condyles come to the Polyclinic's Department of Physical Therapy.
