| Abstract | The standardization of care delivery for children with cardiac disease as well as the role and tasks of the family physician or pediatrician, the pediatrician at the regional maternity hospital and the pedocardiologically-oriented pediatrician managing the child with cardiac disease are presented. The rational application of some procedures and the training requirements for competent work in pediatric cardiology are described. Some world views on organizing pediatric cardiology are also stated. | |
