Abstract		In the article we described population of children with head treuma, admitted to the Pediatric ward for surgery and intensive care medicine of the Surgical clinic of Ljubljana in the year 1998. We focused primarily on the light closed head injuries and leading syptoms (unconsiousness, vomiting, headache and amnesia) which indicated admission. There were 372 cases alltogether, 223 isolated light head injuries or 160 considering only children older than 4 years. Vomiting was most frequent symptom and ussually one of the symptoms sufficed to admit the child for observation.
