Abstract     A number of reports are found in the literature describing acute hypoglycemia in patients who present with mental status abnormalities, focal neurological deficit, or seizure activity, masquerading as cerebrovascular accident and traumatic head injury. Literature and our investigation suggests that a serum glucose determination should be performed routinely in any traumatised patient with an altered sensorial. It is imperative that EMD is awareness of such a simptomatology of hypoglycaemia and the need for quickly testing.
