| Abstract | Since "cannot ventilate, cannot intubate" situation occur not infrequently and are often unexpected, physicans should be familiar with alternative managment techniques. In cases of severe upper airway obstruction (laryngeal and or pharyngeal pathology), emergency cricothyroidotomy or tracheostomy might be the method of choice. This case report actualize some dilemas in the prehospital setting with this problem. | |
