| Abstract | In the article the case of successful use of cricothyrotomy to establish airway control is described. The intervention was accomplished on patient who tried to commit suicide hanging himself in his home.The author had no previous experience of similar kind. Indication for the intervention was acute respiratory insufficiency because of traumatic laryngeal oedema.There were no condition fullfiled to use other less invasive methods of airway managment. | |
