Abstract     Quality assurance is a management system designed to achieve an approved level of quality for a service as well as to evaluate and compare the results of a process or work. This article deals with quality assurance and control schemes in the field of clinical and forensic pathology, which are intended to provide high-quality results. An overview of such an complex system of standardisation is presented.
