Abstract		The datas of admissions of female students over the last 25 years at Medical Faculty in Ljubljana and the datas on the number of women physicians in Slovene medical institutions showe that medical profession in Slovenia is feminising. In 1985 the proportion of women among Slovenian physicians has reached almost a half (47,3b) of the total number of physicians. In the article the datas on professional status, participation in academic career as well as in research activities and high administrative positions are presented. Finally the problem encoutered by women physicians in their professional life as well as those typical for them as women, spouses and mothers are considered.
