Abstract     The author analyses the inner connections between the industralization and division of labour according to sex, which also ineludes the feminization of certain professions. She establishes the mutual link between the uneconomic status of work in the family and in free time and the discrimination of women's work in society. The feminization of professions is not progress towards equality of rights between the sexes, but a new form of discrimination against women's work. She then points to the transformation processes in the post-industrial modernization of society and to the possibility of abolishing the division of labour according to sex and abolishing feminization in postindustrial society.
