Abstract		The aim of the paper is to present the possibilities of early detection of basal cerebral artery spasm with transcranial Doppler sonography (TCD) during surgery for a ruptured aneurysm causing subarachnoid hemorrhage. Immediate treatment with nimodipine can affect the development of secondary ischemic cerebral lessions due to vascular spasm, thus decreasing intraoperative and early postoperative morbidity and mortality.
Summary		Namen prispevka je prikazati možnosti zgodnjega odkrivanja spazma bazalnih možganskih arterij s transkranialno Dopplerjevo sonografijo med operacijo počene anevrizme pri subarahnoidnih krvavitvah. S takojšnjim zdravljenjem z nimodipinom je moč vplivati na razvoj sekundarnih ishemičnih možganskih okvar zaradi žilnega spazma in s tem zmanjšati medoperativno in zgodnjo pooperativno obolevnost ter smrtnost.
