Abstract     The composition of nanoparticles as carrier systems for specific drug molecules for parenteral or nonparenteral application is presented. With nanoparticles controlled or targeted delivery of lipophilic or hydrophilic drug substances is achieved; also their stability and bioavailability can be increased. The nanospheres are produced using sinthetic or natural polymers and solid lipids. Technological approaches for nanospheres preparation are polymerization of monomers, precipitation of synthetic polymer and denaturation and/or solidification of natural molecules. Emulsification represents the common intermeiate process in nanospheres preparation responsible for the achievement of sufficient dispersity of the droplets and thus for the size and the degree of polydisperity. The emulsification solvent removal method is presented (diffusion, evaporation). The influence of particular process parameters for the formation of polymeric nanospheres is given in details: solvent selection drug substance loading, rate of precipitation, polymer concentration etc. Also the solid lipid nanoparticles preparation is mentioned. The possibilities for a successful marketing of these pharmaceutical dosage forms are discussed.
