Abstract		Fractal structure is characterised by self-similarity and non-integral dimension. The fractal dimension of human dentine was determined from the frequency dependence of the dielectric constant and by scanning electron microscopy. Both methods gave the same value for fractal dimension at zero diffusion time. The changes of fractal dimension with the diffusion time and the D.C. electric field reflected the filling of dentine channels with silver.
