Abstract		The central reference level of the visual field was investigated prior and following argon laser photocoagulation in 20 non-insulin-dependent diabetic patient (31 eyes). The aim of this study was to establish possible differences in changes of the central reference level following full scatter and mild scatter photocoagulation. Each visual field investigation was carried out using an automatic perimeter Hamphrey Field analyzer. A comparison of central reference levels of both groups aftr alser treatment revealed a significant difference (p<0.05).
