Abstract		The influenec of DC electric field on the diffusion of silver ions into dential tubules was evaluated. The application of direct current at a voltage of 0/40 V enhanced the diffusion rate, which increased in parallel with the voltage. The amount of ions released into the periodontium eas negliagible.
