Abstract     Description of male and female of Cyathura (Stygocyathura) filipinica sp.n., caught from a cave and an open well in Batuan, Bohol Island, the Philippines. This fifth species of the subgenus Stygocyathura known from the western Pacific is very wellcharacterized, especially by the long endopodite of pleopod I, the completely bipartite (biarticulated) exopodites of pleopods II-V (female) and III-V (male), and the very simple appendix masculina. It is probably one of the most plesiomorphic known C. (Stygocyathura) species, having retained morphological traits from its marine ancestors. Some other questions regarding the origin of the aquatic cave fauna of Bohol were briefly discussed. This addition to less than 20 known stygobiont species from the Philippines is a result of a Slovene international caving and speleobiological expedition to Bohol in 1995.
Summary     Opis samca in samice Cyathura (Stygocyathura) filipinica sp. n.., najdenih v jami in odprtem vodnjaku v kraju Batuan, otok Filipini.
