Abstract     In this article the results of Cd content in food of animal origin from Slovenia from 1981 till now is presented with specially acent on last 8 years. In a few last years in particular groups of food - animal tissues higher Cd content was found than it was expected. Beside kidney and liver of game, kidney of laying hens from Koroška and Celje region, kidney of older cattle and pigs, the higher Cd content was also found in kidney of young cattle and pigs majority from extensive farm breeding. Sush situation was at first appeared in year 1995 and was continued in year 1996 which is presented in detail. It was established that after 1996 the number of pigs kidney with higher Cd content and also with Cd content which exeed tolerance is in progress, This situation is specialy anxious because the majority of unsuitable samples of kidney was from young pigs
Summary     V prispevku so prikazani rezultati vsebnosti Cd v živilih živalskega izvora in problematika v zvezi z njimi od leta 1981 do danes. Podrobneje so obravnavana živila živalskega izvora - posamezna tkiva živali, prirejenih v slovenskem prostoru v zadnjih 8 letih. Že več let opažamo, da so bile povečane vsebnosti Cd ugotovljene tudi v tkivih živali oziroma v nekaterih skupinah, kjer tega nismo pričakovali. Poleg povečane vsebnosti Cd v ledvicah in jetrih divjadi, ledvicah kokoši nesnic iz kororške in celjske regije ter v ledvicah starejših goved in prašičev so bile višje količine Cd ugotovljene tudi v ledvicah mlajših goved in prašičev, večinoma prirejenih na farmah. Tako stanje se je prvič pojavilo v letu 1995, najočitneje pa v letu 1996, ki je v prispevku tudi najbolj podrobno predstavljeno. Od leta 1996 naprej ugotavljamo predvsem porast števila vzorcev prašičjih ledvic s povečano vsebnostjo Cd, pa tudi več takih, ki so največjo dovoljeno vsebnost za Cd prekoračevali. Skrb zbujajoče je, da je večina neustreznih ledvic izvirala od mlajših živali.
