Abstract		Fever is a frequent clinical sign in travellers to the tropics and subtropics, and it is especially alarming when not accompanied by other typical symptoms (status febrilis) or when it appears in conjuction with lymphadenopathy and splenomegaly. This article presents some of the most important diseases and their rational diagnosis, based on the principles of good clinical practice: a detailed medical history, a thorough clinical examination and relatively simple laboratory tests.
Summary		Povišana telesna temperatura je pri popotnikih v tropske in subtropske kraje pogost bolezenski znak, vznemirljiv predvsem, kadar je ne spremljajo drugi značilni simptomi (status febrilis) ali ko se pojavi skupaj s povečanimi bezgavkami in/ali vranico. V članku želimo predstaviti nekatera taka najpomembnejša bolezenska stabja in poskus njihovega racionalnega diagnosticiranja, ki temelji na postopkih dobre klinične prakse: izčrpni anamnezi, natančnem kliničnem pregledu in sorazmerno enostavnih laboratorijskih preiskavah.
