Abstract		Background. Slovene reference standards for weight, length, and head circumference at birth, for each week of gestational age, are presented. Patients and methods. They are based on the total Slovene cohorts of singleton infants born in the decade 1987-96 (N = 223,949). Complete population, without stillbirths and chromosome anomalies, was used for the analysis. The data grouped by gestational weeks were assumed to be normally distributed. Conclusions. The use of the reference standards presented here improves and facilitates the evaluation of the size deviation at birth.
Summary		Izhodišča. V prispevku predstavljamo slovenske referenčne vrednosti za porodno težo, dolžino in obseg glavice ob rojstvu, za vsak teden nosečnosti posebej. Bolniki in metode. Številke izvirajo iz celotne populacije slovenskih enojčkov rojenih v desetletju 1987-96 (N=223.9499). Za analizo smo uporabili le del populacije, brez mrtvorojenih otrok in otrok s kromosomopatijami. Za izračun smo predpostavili normalno (Gaussovo) porazdelitev vseh treh analiziranih parametrov znotraj posameznih tednov. Zaključki. Uporaba referenčnih standardnih vrednosti, objavljenih na tem mestu, omogoča oceno primernosti teže in velikosti ter obsega glavice otroka ob rojstvu.
