Abstract     Since people respond differently to a particular drug, it is desirable to study the pharmacokinetics of drug in target population (e.g. patients). NONMEN (non linear mixed effect modelling) is most widely used computer program for analyses sparse data, given by such studies, which requires sophisticated methods. Population methods posses several advantages over traditional methods: approach is cost effective, it recognises variability, identifies factors of different origin that may influence the pharmacokinetic behaviour of drug, and evaluates quantitatively the unexplanined part of variability.
