Abstract		The paper deals wih the mechanism of liver damage caused by cholestasis and the use of ursodeoxycholic acid in the management of hepatobiliary disease. The aim of the treatment, the side effects and the results achieved in the children are described.
Summary		Prispevek opisuje mehanizem okvare jeter pri holestazi, namen zdravljenja z ursodeoksiholno kislino (UDHK), stranske učinke in vpliv zdravljenja pri hepatobiliarni bolezni v otroški dobi.
