Abstract		The pharmacy profession and pharmacist role in health system is changing with time periods. In many cases in contemporary patient health care a physician himself/herself can not satisfy all requirements in drug therapy decisions making. A pharmacist is regarding his/her knowledge generally a physician's and patients best solution or help in drug therapy decision-making. In this article a therapy decision making is described as a series of steps, cach building on the previous one until the final step is reached that culminates in the actual decision or action. Each step is described in detail and randomised in a pharmacist's participation level in decision making. Prevalence as the numher of pharmacists who elect to make drug therapy decisions at a given level of performance is illustrated.
Summary		Farmacevtova dejavnost in mesto v zdravstvu se s časom spreminjata. V sodobni zdravstveni oskrbi bolnika zdravnik sam pogosto ne more več zadostiti vsem zahtevam pri odločanju o zdravljenju bolnikov. Upoštevaje znanje je farmacevt največkrat zdravnikova in bolnikova najboljša rešitev oz. pomoč pri odločanju in izbiri zdravil. V članku je odločanje o zdravljenju razdeljeno na korake, ki se zvrstijo do postavitve dejanske končne odločitve oz. ukrepanja. Posamezni koraki so podrobneje opisani in razvrščeni v faze farmacevtovega vključevanja v proces odločanja. Prikazana in opisana je tudi pogostnost vključevanja farmacevtov v posamezne faze odločanja.
