Abstract | Hypothermia is defined as a state with core temperature under 35 degrees C. It is often overlooked, because special low temperature reading thermometers are not used. Rapid diagnosis and adequate measures can significantly decrease the mortality. During deep hypothermia, rapid but careful rewarming, monitoring, efficient symptomatic and supportive therapy are crucial as the therapy of underlying disease. Fostbites should be treated simultaneously. The resuscitation prot Col during severe hypotermia differs from the conventional one. | |
