Abstract		This study sought to evaluate the diagnostic value of the biochemical marker cardiac troponin I in survivers of cardiac arrest and successful cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Elevation of cTnl might be associated with ischemic myocardial injury, as well as physical trauma to the heart. Twenty patients who had cardiac arrest and successful resuscitation were included in a retrospective study. We found slight elevations of cTnl also in the group of patients where we ruled out acute myocardial infarction with other diagnostic procedures.
