Abstract     The basic treatment for acute venous thrombosis consists of initial heparin therapy, followed by oral anticoagulant therapy, and usually lasts for 3-6 months. There are small, but important differences in the treatment of venous thrombosis in some special subgroups of patients. The paper summarises the available information on the treatment of venous thrombosis in pregnancy, malignancy and in children.
Summary     Temeljno zdravljenje venske tromboze je antikoagulacijsko; začetno s heparinom in nadaljevalno s kumarini.
