Abstract     Chronic venous insufficiency accompanies a rare congenital and generalised mesodermal abnormality, called the Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, which is characterised by macular vascular nevi, skeletal or soft tissue hypertrophy and venous varicosities. Other associated manifestations include deep venous anomalies, arteriovenous microfistulae, visceral hemangiomas and the Kasabach Merritt syndrome. In the related Parkes-Weber syndrome, high-output cardiac failure with macroarteriovenous fistula is frequently seen. Two patients with the Parkes-Weber and Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome are presented and their clinical pictures are reviewed.
Summary     Kronična venska insuficienca je spremljevalka redke prirojene bolezni mezoderma, za katero so značilni kožni hemangiomi, hipertrofija skeleta ali mehkih tkiv in varikozne vene. Predstavljena sta bolnika s Parkes-Weberjevim sindromom in s sindromom Klippel-Trenaunay.
