Abstract     Pregnancy is a condition of great physical and psychosocial changes. The author describes those influencing physical capabilities of pregnant women. She describes guidelines, criteria and the choice of a safe physical activity. Only properly selected and regular physical activity of a pregnant woman maintains the mobility of her body, prevents muscles from shrinking, maintains strenght and stamina of muscles, improves the function of cardiorespiratory system and control of the body. Strong belly muscles and pelvis muscles prevent and elevate any problems during pregnancy and labour. Relaxation exercises and breathing exercises relax the body and help to build internal harmony and to develop a positive and healthy attitude towards oneself.
