Abstract     Pregnancy causes several physiological, anatomical and biochemical changes to the body's system that ensure regular growth and development of fetus and prepare pregnant women for delivery. Because of these anatomical and physiological changes, that may cause different response to injuries, approach to injured pregnant women asks to be adapted. In this article the author describes typical injuries of pregnant women, examination of injured pregnant women at the place of the accident, treatment of injuries, special considerations on reanimation of pregnant women, preparation for transport and transport of injured pregnant women. Special considerations have to be put on effects of trauma to fetus and its survival. Main principle of treatment of injured pregnant women is "resuscitated mother is resuscitating the fetus".
