Abstract     In the following article I will present a 37-years old protege of institution "Zarja", which has been established for the care and rehabilitation of the people with head injuries. In 1997 he suffered a severe damage of the brain combined with a multiple trauma. With this presentation I would like to stress the importance of beginning with a quality rehabilitation very early, despite a "non promissing" neurological condition, since the protege has been experiencing a lack of response to commands, a lack of self-iniciativity and of cooperation during activities. Since such condition, he was released from the hospital directly to his home, where he was mostly sitting in his wheelchair or lying in his bed. At the end of 1997 he was admitted to our institution, where we began with a quality of his life. He was also included in neurophysiotherapy. After 6 months a big progress in his motor abilities was noticed (he was able to walk with one crutch, to stand up and move on his own...). This gives hope for improvement in other areas too and shows that betterment can be achived even in "less promissing" injured people, if an early rehabilitation considering a person as a whole is began with.
