Abstract		Division of medical genetics (DMG) is the central institution in the national health care system that provides clinical and laboratory facilities at the secondary and terciary level. In addition to its role in the active development of the field of clinical and laboratory medical genetics, DMG exerts an important coordinative role. Medical genetics is being ever more integrated in the clinical medicine, and the number of institutions involved in the laboratory medical genetics is increasing.
