Abstract		In the paper pin site care is presented. The point of aseptic method of work and regular pin site cleaning is made. The most frequent complications with accentuation of wound infection are mentioned. Preventing infection is a nursing priority. The following recommendations for pin site management address the six variables of pin site care: type of cleansing solutions, use of ointments, removing crusts, sterile versus clean tecnique, use of dressings, and frequency of care.
