Abstract | Background. The article deals with three basic (fundamental) problems: definition of blindness and low vision, data analysis from our low vision clinic with comparison of our data with those in the literature as well as possibilities of rehabilitation with contemporary technical devices, emphasizing the more complex one. Conclusions. Low vision clinic with its interdisciplinary work has become an important part of ophthalmological help to the people with severe visual impairment. | |
Summary | Izhodišča. Prispevek ima tri temeljne problemske sklope: opredelitev pojma slepote in slabovidnosti, analiza gradiva iz ambulante za slepe in slabovidne in primerjava podatkov iz tuje literature ter predstavitev tehničnih pripomočkov s poudarkom na kompleksnejših pripomočkih. Zaključki. Ambulanta za slepe in slabovidne s svojim interdisciplinarnim delovanjem postaja pomemben del aftalmološke pomoči ljudem s hujšimi okvarami vida. | |
