Abstract		Various pathogenetic theories of nasal polyps are presented and discusscd. The epithelial rupture theory is based on presence of special glands, formed in the polyp during its growth and on documentation of rupture and/or necrosis of the epithelium in inflammation of the mucous membranes. There are following stages of polyp formation: 1) Localized rupture of the epihelium, 2) Luminal protrusion of the lamina propria trough the epithelial defect, 3) Re-epithe-lialization of the protruded tissue and formation of a polyp, 4) Growth of rhe polyp. During these processes the glands are formed and by further growth and stretching of the polyp the glands became elongated and stretched. The stages will be illustrated.
Summary		Avtorji razpravljajo o različnih teorijah o nastanku nosnih polipov. Teorija epitelijskega razpoka temelji na prisotnosti posebnih žlez, ki nastanejo v polipu med rastjo in na dokazu razpoka in/ali nekroze epitelija v vneti sluznici. Pri nastanku polipov so opisane naslednje stopnje: 1. zamejen razpok epitelija, 2. protruzija lamine proprije skozi epitelijsko vrzel, 3. reepitelizacija tkiva, ki moli skozi vzrel, in tvorbo polipa, ter 4. rast polipa. Med temi procesi nastajajo žleze, ki z nadaljno rastjo in raztezanjem polipa postajajo podaljšane in razpotegnjene. Vse stadije bodo avtorji tudi slikovno predstavili.
