Abstract     Twenty-six deaf patients, three adults and 23 children have been implanted over the first four years of cochlear implant programme at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery in Ljubljana. Complications both during surgery and the post-operative period have been low. Cochlear implantation is a safe method of rehabilitation of the profoundly hearing-impaired adults or children who benefit insufficiently from amplification.
Summary     Na Kliniki za otorinolaringologijo in cervikofacialno kirurgijo v Ljubljani smo v štirih letih našega programa polžkovih vsadkov vstavili polžkov vsadek 26 gluhim osebam, trem odraslim in 23 otrokom.
