Abstract     The authors assessed the success of rehabilitation of deaf persons after cochlear implantation. The results of acoustic analysis of the basic laryngeal tone and the corner vowels before and after implantation were compared. An improvement of at least one of the studied parameters was found in all 21 children and in 3 adults who had been using an implant for 3 to 46 months. An improvement in the quality of voice and articulation after implantation enables a better integration of the deaf into their social environment.
Summary     Avtorja sta ocenjevala uspešnost rehabilitacije gluhih oseb s primerjavo rezultatov akustične analize temeljnega grlnega tona ter ogliščnih samoglasnikov pred vstavitvijo polžkovega vsadka in po njej.
