| Abstract | Therapeutic efficacy of nasal seawater spray (Aqua maris) has been documented by autors for management in 44 nasal patients (after nasal packing or radiation therapy). Aqua maris has been shown to increase mucociliary flow rates. Aqua maris decrease drying and crusting sometimes associated with nasal packing or radiation therapy in nose and sinus tumors. Aims of sea water nasal spray aplication are: humidification, loosening of mucous secretions and the formation of physiological secretions. | |
