Abstract		Aplisynopsins, isolated from marine organisms, are interesting due to their specific biological activity. We report a two step method for preparation of heteroarylaplysinopsin analogs. In reaction with bis(dimethylamino)-t-buthoxymethane or DMFDMA, hydantoin is converted to 5-((dimethylamino)methylidene)hydantoin and to 3-methyl-5-((dimethylamino)methylidene)hydantoin. The dimethylamino group in both compounds can easily be exchanged with active methylene grup of C-nucleophilic heterocyclic compounds and some new interesting heteroarylaplysinopsine analogs are obtained.
