Abstract		The Cancer registry of Slovenia, a special service for collecting and processing the data on cancer in Republic Slovenia, is presented in my diploma thesis as an element of the health service information system. Detailed description of the work in the Registry as well as the implemented actions for its rationalization are presented. The use of electronic cancer registry forms for data sent from hospital information systems is presented as an additional ability for rationalization of work in Registry.
