Abstract		The significance of health protection is described and the preservation of healthy vision in the young, who visit primary school, is presented. The eyes are most probably the most important sense organ. Prompted by the increase of the use of computers, excessive watching of television, long-hours of readinh and writing, the project team of "healthy school" has presented the significance of the healthy vision as a project. For this purpose, in the primary school in Bistrica by Sotla (Slovenia), which is one of the first primary schools included into Project of European Network of Health Promoting Schools, a manual - inovation project, named OUR VISION - has been producted as a part od school preventive programme, intended for teachers and other collaborators, who work with the young. One of the chapters related to the work with parents at parenteral meetings. The authors are professors in primary school, while one of them is an external collaborator from the health care domain. Manual consists of fourteen chapters, each with defined teaching aims, elements and activities with instructions for subject treatment, necessary teaching tools and instructions, intended for teachers. Natural science day, which was performed with the help of the manual in seventh and eighth grade has proved that the teaching material is adequate for the work with the pupils and that it is understandable, interesting and instructive and can be used in individual subjects.
Summary		Članek opisuje pomen varovanja zdravja in daje poudarek na ohranjanjju zdravega vida pri mladih, ki obiskujejo osnovno šolo. Oči so najverjetneje najpomembnejše čutilo. Zaradi vse večje uporabe računalnikov, čezmernega gledanja televizije, večurnega branja in pisanja je v projektnem timu zdrave šole nastal predlog, kako učencem predstaviti pomen zdravega vida. V ta namen je nastal v osnovni šoli Bistrica ob Sotli, ki je ena izmed prvih osnovnih šol, vključenih v projekt Evropske mreže zdravih šol, priročnik - inovacijski projekt NAš VID, ki je del šolskega preventivnega programa in je namenjen učiteljem in drugim sodelavcem, ki delajo z mladimi. Eno izmed poglavij je namenjeno tudi delu s starši na roditeljem sestanku. Avtorji so profesorji osnovne šole in zunanja sodelavka iz zdravstva. V priročniku je štirinajst poglavij, vsako poglavje pa ima opredeljene učne cilje, osnove in dejavnosti z navodili za obravnavo snovi, potrebna učna sredstva in navodila, namenjena učiteljem. Naravoslovni dan, izveden po priročniku v sedmem in osmem razredu, je pokazal, da je učno gradivo primerno za delo z učenci te starosti, da je razumljivo, poučno, zanimivo in da ga lahko učitelji vnašajo v pouk pri posameznih predmetih.
