Abstract		Injuries are an important cause of travel related morbidity and mortality. Traffic accidents, falls, certain dangerous activities (diving, mountaineering, some sport activities) are the usual causes of injury. The first steps in treating severely injured patients are the same as ever. The decision when to transport the patient home must be carefully considered.
Summary		Poškodbe so pogost vzrok obolevnosti in umrljivosti na potovanjih. Najpogosteje gre za prometne nesreče, padce, nesreče pri nevarnih aktivnostih (potapljanje, plezanje, razne športne aktivnosti). Ob hujši poškodbi je osnovna oskrba podobna kot sicer, ob primerni stabilizaciji pa je pomembna odločitev o tem, kdaj in kako izpeljati prevoz v domačo državo.
