Abstract     Health is a state of physical, psychic and social wellbeing and not only absence of illness or dicabiltiy to work; it is recognized by the process of continuous active adaptation to the surrounding world. Sick leave is temporary disabilltiy to work because of illness, injury, caring for, having to accompany an ill family member; it also means being absent from work because of isolation. Medical or non-medical reasons for the absence from work can be evaluated. The end results of neurological damage can cause an individual to be: - temporarily or permanently totally unable for work to earn one's living - temporarily or permanently totally unable for his work, yet capable for ather work taking in consideration the limitation, given by his state of health - temporarily or permanently capable for his work only in a shortened working time process. The evaluation of capability for a certain work is individual and, above all, depends on the state of health of an individual and on the challenges of his work.
