Abstract		Quantity and quality of information on nursing care have become a powerful weapon of decision making and management; however, it has become impossible to master information explosion and at the same time assure a successful approach to a patient without an efficient information system. The article describes the role of nursing management in separate phases of the development of nursing care information system.
Summary		Količina in kakovost informacij o zdravstveni negi postajata močno orodje za odločanje in upravljanje, vendar brez učinkovitega informacijskega sistema ni več mogoče obvladati eksplozije informacij in hkrati omogočiti kakovosten pristop bolniku. V prispevku je opisana vloga vodstvenih medicinskih sester v posameznih fazah razvoja informacijskega sistema zdravstvene nege.
