Abstract		Although it was introduced over 45 years ago, surgery of the anterior skull base is still rarely perlormed in Slovenia. In the past, severe postoperative complications were frequent. Anterior skull base is "no man's land". the belief that the intracranial and extracranial part of the tumor should be removed in separate procedures is still present subcranial approach cnablcs "en block" tumor resection, preservation of important structures with good visualisation of the operative field and waterproof separation of the cranial base and nasal cavity after the operation. Paper presents 7 patients operated on with this method at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery of the Maribor General Hospital.
