Abstract     Basic knowledge of systemic enzymotherapy (proteolytic enzyme preparations) is presented. In the paper, authors analyze their observations in the five year's follow-up of 14 patients with recurrent laryngeal papillomatosis when after surgical extirpation peroral proteases were subsequently applicated. In this group, 8 patients have been disease-free from 3 to 5 years. In. 4 patients only solitary lesions with very small, or no tendency to grow, were found. In the group of 2 children, no effect has been recorded.
