Abstract		Invasive neurophysiological methods in epileptology are used when information gained From noninvasive procedures is insufficient or otherwise in connection with surgical treatment. Extracranial (sphenoidal, nasopharyngeal) and intracranial (electrocorticographical, stereo-electroencephalographical) measurements are used. Common to all is the use of special electrodes enabling measurements nearer to the epileptic focus in the brain tissue, thereby increasing data accuracy. Intraoperative mapping procedures for localizing language and primary sensory and motor areas on the exposed cortex are used for orientation and in order to prevent postoperative neurological deficits.
Summary		Invazivne nevrofiziološke metode se v epileptologiji uporabljajo, ko je neinvazivna diagnostika izčrpana ali v povezavi z operacijskim posegom. Mednje prištevamo zunajlobanjske (sfenoidne, nazofaringealne) in znotrajlobanjske (elektrokortikografske, stereoencefalografske) meritve. Vsem je skupno, da se s posebnimi elektrodami približamo epileptičnemu žarišču v možganovini in s tem povečamo natančnost meritev. Posebne medoperacijske metode nevrotiziološkega mapinga govornih ter primarnih senzoričnih in motoričnih predelov pomagajo pri orientaciji na izpostavljeni možganski skorji in preprečevanju nevroloških okvar po posegu.
