Abstract		The article describes the forms of acute conjunctivitis most frequently encountered in practice. It describes the symptoms common to all forms of acute conjunctivitis and the characteristics of each individual type. Knowing them helps us recognize the type of inflammation with a high degree of reliability. The article contains a detailed description of the management of individual diseases, therapy and duration of patient follow-up. The instructions are intended for general practitioner because it is important to start therapy as early as possible and a correct approach by the general practitioner will cure the majority of diseases described here without the need of specialist intervention.
Summary		Članek opisuje oblike akutnih konjunktivitisov, ki jih v vsakodnevni praksi najpogosteje srečujemo. Opisani so znaki, ki so skupni vsem akutnim konjunktivitisom in značilnosti za posamezno vrsto. S poznavanjem le-teh lahko dokaj zanesljivo prepoznamo vrsto vnetja. Natančno je opisan postopek pri posameznem obolenju, zdravljenje in čas spremljanja bolnikov. Navodila so namenjena delu v splošni ambulanti, saj je pomembno, da z zdravljenjem prične že splošni zdravnik. S pravilnim pristopom bo večino opisanih obolenj namreč lahko pozdravil brez sodelovanja specialista.
