Abstract | Antiplatelet therapy has been proven to be effective in reducing the risk of vascular events in patients with cerebrovascular disorders. Aspirin is the most frequently used drug, but it has potential serious adverse effects. To potentiate the effect of aspirin; a combination of aspirin and dipyridamol is recommended. In patients with known contraindications for aspirin or dipyridamol, clopidogrel is used.
