Abstract     We attempted to analyse the intensity of humoral and cellular types of immune reactions in mice sensitised with sheep red blood cells (SRBC) or with paternal splenocytes in local graft versus host reaction (GVHR), respectively, by standard biochemical tests and estimation of metabolic changes in the liver. The data have shown that during the maximal production of haemolytic antibodies changed only the blood levels of urea and calcium. In contrasts to this, during the local GVHR, we found decreased concentrations of nucleic acids and proteins in the liver, and in sera, where a decrease in concentrations of proteins, albumin's, glucose and AST was found, as well as, variations in concentration of urea, creatinin and increased concentrations of C-reactive protein and calcium. The observed changes we tried to explain by the greater activation of proinflammatory TH1 lymphocytes and cytokines during the cellular type of immune reaction.
