Abstract     Radiological imaging modalities are of utmost importance for evaluation of rotator cuff's pathology and for planing different therapeutic procedures. Numerous radiological imaging techniques are available such as radiography, conventional arthrography, computed tomography, CT arthrography, magnetic resonance tomography, indirect and direct magnetic resonance arthrography. Radiography remains the initial diagnostic imaging modality usually followed by US, which may be also the first diagnostic step. Conventional arthrography is used mainly in institutions without modern imaging techniques. CTA is indicated if instability of the shoulder joint is considered to be the cause af impingement. The method of choice is MTA or direct MRA which enable precise morphological evaluation of all important intra and paraarticular anatomic structures.
